This item is light but bulky. Australian carriers will charge based on the cubic weight (333kg/m³).
Carton Best Practices

Preparing boxes and parcels for transport

1. Quality Double-Walled Cartons

Always use heavy-duty double-walled corrugated cardboard. Avoid reusing old shoe boxes, thin single-ply cartons, or grocery boxes which easily crush under standard stacking.

2. The 5cm Cushioning Rule

Surround items with at least 50mm of void fill (bubble wrap, air pillows, or moulded foam) on all 6 sides. Goods should not shift when the box is gently shaken.

3. The “H-Tape” Method

Seal all carton seams using wide (48mm–50mm) heavy-duty pressure-sensitive tape. Tape along the center seam and both end seams to create an “H” pattern.

Pallets & Bulk Heavy

Standard Australian pallet preparation

Correct Pallet Loading

  • • Standard Australian timber pallet: 1165mm × 1165mm.
  • • Interlock cartons or stack in uniform columns for maximum vertical strength.
  • • Apply high-grade stretch film wrapped at least 3 to 4 times around the base and top.
  • • Secure heavy or unstable loads with heavy-duty polypropylene strapping.

Strictly Prohibited on Pallets

  • • No Overhang: Freight protruding past the pallet edges will be rejected or charged at oversize penalty rates.
  • • No Broken Slats: Pallets must be structurally sound for forklift tines.
  • • Height Limits: Maximum allowable pallet height is 2.0m including timber base for standard tautliner linehaul.

Labelling & Barcode Positioning

Ensure every carton or pallet carries a clear, printed shipping label placed on the flat top or upper side of the item. Never place barcodes over seam tape or around edges where optical scanners cannot read them. Remove or cross out all previous barcodes and address stickers from recycled cartons.
